Presenters: Kamia and William

Topic: Art

In this show, adult English language students in GO3 class talk about art. (GO3 is a general English course at St Clare's, Oxford, UK.)

Kamia (Angola) and William (France) chose the topic, prepared questions, introduced the show, and interviewed their classmates, provoking a good deal of interesting exploration of the definition of what art is, and what it means to us. Well done, William and Kamia!

We hear interviews with:

Gabriele (Italy)
Ana (Spain)
Olly (Switzerland)
Antonella (Italy)

Interview questions:
(If you are listening in class, you could ask a partner the interview questions, then choose one or more of the speakers and note their answers.)

1. What kind of art do you like?
2. What do you prefer: sculpture, painting or architecture?
3. What are your favourite artists?
4. What's your opinion: can we live without art?
5. Do you think music is art? Why (not)?
6. What is art for you?
7. When was the last time you visited a museum or art gallery?
