Presenters: Fahad and Raed
Topic: Our hometowns

In this show, adult English language students in GO4 class talk about their hometowns. (GO4 is a low intermediate level general English course, at St Clare's, Oxford, UK.)

Fahad kindly volunteered to host this show and chose the topic of hometowns, which we had written about previously, and prepared interview questions for his classmates. On the day, Raed opted to co-host the show. Fahad and Raed introduced the show, interviewed their classmates, and chose the linking jingle from Garageband. We hear interviews with:

Abdullah (Saudi Arabia)
Hani (Saudi Arabia)
Mingke (China)
Byeong Cheong (South Korea)
Hakob (Armenia)

Interview questions:
(If you are listening in class, you could ask a partner the interview questions, then choose one or more of the speakers and note their answers.)

Where is your hometown?
How big is it?
What is it like?
What is the weather like?
What's it famous for?
What's the best thing about it?
Do you like living there?

Please listen to our discussion and add your comments on our blog page at bardwellroad.podomatic.com.

This show was recorded in class, on group teacher, Geoff's, Apple MacBook Pro computer with the program Garageband. The Garageband jingles used are "Half Moon Short" and "Half Moon Long". After editing in Garageband, the audio volume was leveled using the program Levelator (www.gigavox.com/levelator), and converted to MP3 using LameBrain (check at www.macupdate.com). The photo was edited in Adobe Fireworks. This show was produced at the Bardwell Road Adult Centre, St Clare's, Oxford, UK.
