In this show, adult English language students in GO5, a pre-intermediate level general English course at the Bardwell Road Adult Centre, St Clare's, Oxford, talk about their first impressions of Oxford and St Clare's.

Thomas and Eloisa introduced and ended the show, interviewed their classmates, and chose the linking music - thanks guys. You did a brilliant job.

The class's second teacher, Bridget, helped prepare the students to talk about the content of the show - thanks Bridget.

In fact the students were so well prepared on this occasion, and relatively so fluent and articulate, that the show took about half the normal time to record! And there were many fewer hesitations and long pauses, and people spoke up really well, so I had much less post production work to do. Thanks guys.

The show was recorded in Bridget's class on Geoff's Apple PowerBook computer with the program Garageband 3. Most post-production work was done at the weekend.

Note: This time, in post-production, I had a new piece of free software called Levelator from Gigavox Media. It is for automatically normalising differences in volume of speech.
