Studying abroad, in a different country, has many advantages: you get to know a different culture, a different language, and make international friends. But there is a downside, too. At the beginning, especially, you can feel like a stranger in a strange land. People here in this new country do things in different ways, which you can't easily predict; they talk in different ways; eat different food; listen to different music; and, in the UK, maybe drive on the wrong side of the road! Sometimes, these differences are exciting. But sometimes, we can miss places, things or people that we are comfortable with in our home countries. Alexia and Won decided to find out what, if anything, their classmates in GO3 general English class miss from their home countries. They interviewed:
