The Bardwell Road Centre Podcast

It's a new term for EFL students at the Bardwell Road Adult Centre at St Clare's, Oxford, and a new group of students who will be producing the Bardwell Road Centre Podcast.

This term, it is the turn of students in the GO3 general English class. They begin their podcast season, naturally enough, with brief personal introductions.

We hear from Ivan (Russia), Woun (S. Korea), Fred (Germany), Yong (S. Korea), Gab (Thailand), Cosi (Switzerland), Sky (S. Korea), Alexia (Spain), Won (S. Korea), Min (S.Korea), El Nur (Azerbeijan)

How this show was made

The show was recorded in the last twenty minutes or so of two lessons last week.

Geoff started off by introducing the show, then each student was supposed to briefly introduce themselves. But it turned out to be better to do it as two-person interviews. Geoff started off by interviewing Ivan. Ivan then interviewed Woun, and each student in turn interviewed another student

From the hundreds of jingles available in the software used, we couldn't agree on one for punctuating this first show, so after class Geoff chose a jingle, edited and uploaded the show, and put in the show notes.

The show was recorded and edited on the class teacher, Geoff's laptop computer, using Apple's Garageband 3 software program.
